Canton, Mo. – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Lady Trojans started strong against the host Culver-Stockton College. However, it would not be enough as they would fall 0-3 by scores of 25-27, 18-25, and 15-25.

Melissa Ryan (FR/Plainfield, Ill.) and Shelby Maupin (JR/St. Peters, Mo.) contributed eight kills each to lead the Trojans on the offensive side of the ball.  Lindsay Fisher (SR/Temecula Valley, Calif.) collected 12 digs, while Emily Pfeiffer (JR/Springfield, Ill.) controlled the offense with 26 assists.  Head Coach Laura King had this to say following the match: "We had some bright spots, but we just have trouble staying consistent. Some position changes due to injuries are really hurting us right now in these close games, but we are learning a lot about fighting through difficult situations. Tomorrow we have one of our last home conference games, so it's a great opportunity to turn around and get a win."

The Lady Trojans are back in action tomorrow, October 22, when they take on St. Louis College of Pharmacy. The contest is set to start at 1 p.m. inside the Mabee Sports Complex.
