Hannibal, Mo. – Hannibal-LaGrange University Athletic Director, Jason Nichols, is excited to announce the hiring of Tasha Flynn as the new women's soccer coach of the Trojans.  Flynn spent the last three seasons in Conway, Arkansas coaching for fellow NAIA institution, Central Baptist College which is a member of the American Midwest Conference.  She has a lot of knowledge within the AMC and looks to build on the new foundation at HLGU.  She will be the fourth coach in the 20 year history of the program.

"I am very excited about the opportunity to coach at HLGU.  I believe there is a solid core group of players on the roster that can continue to grow and strengthen the program.  I think the resources available can allow this program to return to the conference tournament and compete well," stated Flynn.  "A big thank you to the AD, Jason Nichols and the HLGU administration for believing in me and my vision for the future of the program"

Coach Flynn attended and played soccer for Lyon College (another NAIA and AMC member) in Batesville, Arkansas, before transferring and finishing out her college career at Missouri State University in her hometown of Springfield, Missouri.  She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Exercise and Movement Science in 2011.  Flynn then went on to pursue her Master's degree in Kinesiology, at the University of Central Arkansas where she spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant for the UCA Lady Bears soccer program.

Flynn is an Assistant Coach for the Little Rock Rangers WPSL (Women's Professional Soccer League) team which plays throughout the summer.  The women's team for the LR Rangers is in its inaugural season.  Additionally, she currently works with Arkansas State Soccer Association in their Olympic Development Program (ODP).  She is a member for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and holds USSF National D, and NSCAA GK Level 1 and 2 certificates.

Nichols shared, "I'm excited about the leadership Coach Flynn is going to bring to the Lady Trojans soccer program.  She knows the NAIA and American Midwest Conference well.  Her commitment to the mission of HLGU along with her experience at various levels of play will put her in a great position to build success on and off the field.  It's great to have her as part of the HLGU family."

Coach Flynn is married to Asher and plans on moving to Hannibal soon to prepare for the upcoming season.
