Hannibal, Mo. – The Hannibal-LaGrange Men's Soccer Team is happy to announce the recent signing of Nikolas O'Neill.  He is from Centralia, Illinois and is the son of Jennifer and Joe O'Neill.  He recently graduated from Centralia High School where he played goalie.

CHS Head Coach Travis Sanders shared, "Nik shows some of the highest qualities when it comes to a GK. He has very quick hands and great placement in the goal mouth.  I hope to see Nik improve in the future and increase his overall soccer IQ.  I see him as a great asset in the future to help with my goalkeepers at the high school level and better promote soccer at Centralia High School."

As a senior, O'Neill was selected as the team MVP and the defensive player of the year.  Having O'Neill as a three year starter helped to shape the CHS program.  He is on the CHS honor roll and plans on majoring in Business once enrolled at HLGU.

"We are excited to have Nikolas join our program and I believe he will train diligently and compete for the starting goalkeeper role," stated HLGU Head Coach David Erskine.
