Hannibal, Mo. – The Hannibal-LaGrange Baseball Team continues to add talent to the 2017 recruiting class with the signing of Ray Brown-Cook.  Brown-Cook is the son of Christine Hamilton and they are from Atlanta, Texas.  He played for Queen City High School throughout his four years.

His senior year he was selected as the Team MVP for QCHS and the All-District Defensive MVP.  Brown-Cook a 5'7" athlete who played shortstop and also pitched for his high school program.  He finished with a 0.353 batting average with 10 RBI's as the team finished 14-7 on the season.

Brown-Cook plans on majoring in History at HLGU once enrolled later this month.

"We are thrilled to have Ray. We know that he is a very strong defender who has the potential to cover a lot of territory in the infield, and may show some versatility in the outfield as well. As a player who succeeded in the tough competition in East Texas, we are certain that he will be a big part of our freshman class and teams for years to come," added Coach Ben Strother.
