Coach Thomas Brennan was ecstatic to share, "I am incredibly proud of my team this week. This is one of the best winsn in our golf program's history. To come away with this victory against the strength of the field we competed against is amazing. We have not beat William woods in nearly six years, and to achieve that against their quality program currently ranked seventh in the country really feels good for the guys." He continued with, "They also beat another top 25 team and rival in Culver-Stockton just tops it all off. Conlan picked up his first collegiate victory of his career, with many more to follow, I am sure. The exciting part is that I know we can do better and the guys know great things are achievable this year for them."
The men's team continues to build and improve their scores with each outing that they participate in. HLGU will be hosting their fall tournament on Thursday, October 5 out at Norwoods Golf Club. Several local teams are scheduled to play in the one day event. Following the home tournament the team will be traveling to Northern Illinois to play in the NAIA Fall Preview which is hosted at TPC Deere Run. The event will take place on October 16-17.
