Fulton, Mo. – The Hannibal-LaGrange Women's Golf Team participated in the William Woods Fall Invitational at Tanglewood Golf Course.  The Trojans finished in fourth place shooting a 410/398 for a total score of 808.  The other American Midwest Conference schools participating in the event were Columbia College and Park University.  The original schedule was set to be a two day tournament with 18 holes being played each day but because of the forecast the ladies played 36 holes on Monday.

Lynzie Emerson continues to show her consistency throughout the season with an 82/83 and finished in 14th place.  Rebecca Sheridan finished in 20th with a 91/89 which included a hole in one on the 34th hole of the invitational.  She hit a six iron 135 yards into the cup.  Kyla Swanson closed her day out with a 97/98 for her lowest 36 hole total in her career.  Jessica Tarter improve her second round by 12 strokes.

Coach Thomas Brennan added, "I am very pleased with the improvement that we have made since last week.  This was one of the best finishes we have had in a few years as a women's program against some tough competition.  Lynzie's 36 hole total is the best of any HLGU women's golfer since the spring of 2015.  It is great to see her playing very well heading into the final tournament of the fall.  But Rebecca's hole in one was the highlight of the day.  That is the first hole in one since I have been the head coach.  It was great that it happened during her career best score as a Trojan."

HLGU will travel to Kansas City, Missouri on October 23-24 to participate in the Park University Invitational.  The event will mark the last tournament for the fall and gives the Trojans some time off.
